Taking a Simple Screenshot

A number of our website customers often need to send us a picture of what they are seeing on their browser. Perhaps they need to have some additional functionality added to a certain page and need us to know exactly where. Perhaps something isn't displaying quite as it should.

Either way, it's quite easy for a user to email us with a screenshot of what they are seeing, and here's how it is done:

For Windows:

  • Press the Print Screen key. This key can be found between the alpha and number keypad and to the right of the F12 key.
  • Open an email and type your message. As the screenshot has been saved to the clipboard you can simply paste it into your message.

For Mac Users (OS/X):

  • Press Command-Control-Shift-3, which saves the file on the desktop.
  • Send that file to us as an attachment to your email.

If you're encountering a problem with your website (whether we built it or not) I'm sure we'll be able to help resolve it so please get in touch.
