Emerging Innovations have just finished delivering a piece of consultation work for a large national charity. The work itself was to produce an invitation to tender document that will be circulated in the next few months.
It was interesting to know how invasive the whole operation was. Not only did EI speak with all the key stakeholders (staff as well as service users and the public) but it also asked some quite searching questions about policy and future strategy of the organisation.
All this just goes to re-enforce the fact that websites - whether for businesses or charities - are now wholly interwoven with the fabric of the way the organisation operates.
Don't let your organisation's website drift from your operational needs through inaction; make sure you keep a close eye on the contribution that it is making to your operation.
