The first port of call for any web developer once their site is labelled as Beta is to head for the website validator http://validator.w3.org/. Or at least it should be!
As a customer of a website designer you too might want to take advantage of this free service. The validator checks the specific page and tells you whether all of the mark-up (the code used to write the site) is valid. If it isn't, it tells you how it should be corrected.
Ensuring your website is valid in this way is a great achievement and worth it in terms of user accessibility and search engine optimisation.
